Seems like it always goes this way

First thing; we make a ironclad constitutional statement. Some time goes by with enough happiness to please most and then someone gets an idea that will improve the Ironclad Constitution . After all you simply can’t have people doing XYZ willy nilly. And so after taking a poll of the people and collecting names and addresses — so they can mail out important information sometime in the future — in the process and they do it. And it turns out okay. There you are, and you were worried they say. But then something else needs to be fixed, a quick fix they say nothing to get upset over, and they do it and at the same time as a gift they give everyone a number that only they and the government will ever know. Perhaps they call it a social security number. And it turns out well. Or pretty well anyway. Eventually step by tiny step we lose our freedom. Oh sure, everyone must send their children to school. Who wouldn’t want their children to be cognizant of the latest propa– rules and regulations? And on and on and on. We improve it until finally after 300 years or so, it sucks.
